Elevate Science Notebooks in the FOSS Classroom Community of Practice

Four 1.5-hour Online Webinar Sessions for current FOSS users

Earn continuing education credits by elevating writing in the science classroom with the FOSS Science Curriculum. Learn how to get started with science notebooks, build connections to writing across domains, and elevate student sense-making with next-step strategies.

Cost is $550 and includes ten hours of continuing education credits, registration for all four sessions, materials (sent to you), and a continuing education certificate.

The Community of Practice Schedule is 1.5 hours for each session on:
September 21st: Active investigation and notebook foundations
November 16th: Making sense of data and language development
January 25th: Assessment and next-step strategies
March 21st: Synthesizing student thinking

Four Online Webinar Sessions for current FOSS users

Earn continuing education credits and dive into getting started with the FOSS Science Curriculum! In this community of practice, you will learn how to get started with FOSS, practice tips and tricks, learn how to navigate your resources, and get your classroom up and running.

Cost is $550 and includes ten hours of continuing education credits, registration for all four sessions, materials (sent to you), and a continuing education certificate.

The Community of Practice Schedule is:
September 20th – 2 hours: Active investigation, teacher resources, and preparing to teach
October 11th – 1.5 hours: Science notebooks and embedding writing in science
November 1st – 1.5 hours: Sense-making and embedding speaking and listening in science
November 29th – 1.5 hours: Formative embedded assessment
